Chris has always been a painter, since building his first flower box at Junior Achievement, painting the family home and then spending a summer at age 14 painting his parish school after his dad had done the fundraising to purchase paint. Chris learned from parish elders how to roll out a wall properly, a skill he shares with others today. He also benefited from spending many hours with Paul Ducharme, an extended family member skilled at painting and wallpapering.
Chris also got his first camera at age 14 and followed his father and three older brothers into the family business. Professionally trained as a photographer, he developed a keen eye for detail, light, color and composition. These innate skills carry over into the finish work he provides today. Chris also refurbished a home and built two more with his wife Cathy and always did the finish work to his standards. He applies these same personal standards to his clients' homes, businesses and special projects.
After leaving the photography business, Chris formed his painting company in September of 2017 and now works for private clients, home builders and specialized contractors. He is a member of the Home Builders Association of Western Mass. and serves on the Home Show Committee and the Board of Directors.
Chris constantly looks to surround himself with talented and caring individuals who can provide the quality work that supports the core values of Grenier Painting. That is, "Gaining the trust of our clients with their most valuable assets, their homes or businesses. We show our respect and appreciation for that trust by providing the best finishing services possible."
